If you’re truly obsessed with pizza (like we are here at Lakeside) you’ll already know: the Neapolitan pizza has been officially recognized in 2017 by UNESCO as an intangible heritage of humanity. And that’s not really surprising, given how extraordinary this Italian pizza is.
We’re talking about a thin and soft round pizza based on water, flour, yeast with the classic high and puffy edge (cornice), left to rise for a minimum of 8 hours.
Our tip for all our international clients and friends visiting Lake Como is obviously to jump on a train to Naples and taste this culinary masterpiece directly in the city where it was born. You won’t regret.

The big plus of this pizzeria is by far the wide choice within the menu: all pizzas (with their iconic crunchy edge) are very particular, made with high-quality ingredients, special wholemeal flours and well-chosen leavening processes. There’s also an awesome selection of local craft beers.

Be careful with this place, as it’s likely you will get addicted to their insanely tasteful gourmet pizzas. The menu changes every year.
Tip: call in advance to book a table, as the restaurant is always pretty crowded!

Here you can find an amazingly soft pizza, topped with high-quality ingredients. Don't expect a refined place (they mainly offer a take-away service), but get ready to taste a real Neapolitan pizza.

Coppola Chef & Bakery in Bellagio
This is a small take away bakery with outdoor space (ideal for a break), just outside the center of Bellagio. They also offer artisan production of ice cream and sweets.
Their Naples-style pizza is just sublime.

At Soqquadro the Neapolitan pizza maker, Manuelino, says: "you have to love the pizza you make.” And his pizza is just awesome, indeed: a traditional dough, garnished with few high quality DOP ingredients.
